Tabellen viser tall om kontantstøtte for desember hvert år. Dette er ikke tall for hele året totalt.
NAV publiserer statistikk over kontantstøtteordningen fire ganger i året, og omfatter antall mottakere av kontantstøtte og antall barn den aktuelle måneden. Kontantstøttebruken varierer gjennom året, og påvirkes av barnehageopptak og antall barn i alderen 13 - 23 måneder. For tall fra andre kvartaler og mer informasjon om statistikken se:
https://www.nav.no/no/nav-og-samfunn/statistikk/familie-statistikk/kontantstotte Den sterke nedgangen i desember 2012 fra året før skyldes en lovendring med virkning fra 1. august 2012 hvor ytelsen gis i maksimalt 11 måneder mot 23 måneder tidligere. Fra 2014 viser tabellen også antall barn i kontantstøttealder og andel barn med kontantstøtte, i tillegg til antall barn med kontantstøtte.
